The Brief.

House of Tides, a Michelin starred restaurant in Newcastle, needed a brand that would match its cutting-edge food and the recently restored Grade 1-listed building on Newcastle Quayside.

The brand had to incorporate local landmarks and reflect the restaurant’s name and location.

The Result.

JMF Group helped House of Tides founder, Kenny Atkinson, to design, develop, and build his brand. We created a circular logo featuring waves to represent a ship’s porthole, inspired by the term ‘House of Tides’ and the building’s location.

We also used illustrations of local landmarks, including iconic bridges, which acted as a location map for the restaurant. The resulting brand matched the restaurant’s cutting-edge food and its historic location, successfully showcasing the pride in the North East.
